Pre-Sales Engineer / Solutions Architect (NonStop)


Purpose of the role
Comforte is seeking a highly capable Solutions Architect / Pre-Sales Engineer to engage on strategic sales pursuits to help secure sensitive data in the world’s leading companies.
 
As our key technical advisor, you will actively drive and manage the sales process from technology assessment through customer success. You will engage with potential customers and partners to help them understand the data-security solutions comforte can offer an organization. You have a passion for winning through technical excellence, you’re technically strong and capable of working independently / interacting with customers and partners directly.
Key responsibilities and tasks
  • You are a born entrepreneur with an inspiring, self-starting and focused mindset that loves new technology stacks 
  • You have a deep understanding of modern application ecosystems and thrives on solving complex security and risk problems
  • You are a true people person who will become a trusted advisor to stakeholder from developer to enterprise architect to C*suite engagement (CISO, CIO, CDO, CTO etc) and take them on a journey to embrace modern data-centric security technology
  • You are able to quickly identify changes and adapt your strategy accordingly. You are practical, a pioneer and not afraid to leave the beaten path to contribute to further success in new or even existing markets.
  • You promote and validate data security needs and establish prospects’ requirements for cF’s product offerings
  • You discuss, develop and document prospects requirements as beneficial solutions including architecture data flows, use cases, business requirements and risks
  • You verify prospects’ “pain” points and data risk/privacy and security compliance priorities  
  • You partner with the product organization on new market requirements and product gaps, and feedback on early prototypes and pre releases
  • You coordinate technical responses to RFI/RFP from potential customers
  • You manage and orchestrate Proof-of-Concepts on-site at the customer, showing the feasibility and the value of the respective solution and where this fits in with the customers overall architecture
  • You prepare and deliver product and advisory presentations during customer meetings, conferences and virtual events
Professional skills and knowledge
  • High level of experience in consultative selling approaches and supporting the sales cycles from a technical point of view
  • Understanding of data flows and enterprise data access strategies and storage
  • Ability to acquire new technical knowledge in a fast and independent manner around application architecture and data flows for enterprise, cloud data warehouse and analytics environments
  • Familiar with cloud architectures – cloud native, containers, micro services, Kubernetes
  • Knowledge in technology areas including data protection strategies, application data flows, APIs, authentication, authorization, and related regulatory compliance e.g. GDPR, PCI DSS, HIPAA
  • Familiar with modern tools for presentations, video creation, demos and collaboration

  • Operating Systems: HPE NonStop OS
  • NonStop database management systems: Enscribe, SQL MP/MX
  • Operational aspects of HPE Nonstop Systems, such as system deployments, backup and recovery, system monitoring, systems integration and performance
Additional understanding of the following areas are a plus:
  • Client-server architecture and management 
  • Familiarity with Security technologies, especially encryption/tokenization technologies for data-at-rest and in transit protection 
  • EFT/Payments, Banking, Fraud and Risk Management industries
  • Knowledge of EFT products and architecture
  • Familiarity with comforte’s HPE NonStop product offerings
