Pre-Sales Engineer / Solutions Architect


Purpose of the role
comforte AG is seeking a highly capable Pre-Sales Engineer / Solutions Architect with fluency in Portuguese and Spanish to support strategic sales engagements in key global markets. This role is ideal for a technically strong, customer-centric professional with deep experience in data security and a passion for helping customers understand, evaluate, and adopt cutting-edge solutions.
 
As our key technical advisor, you will actively drive and manage the sales process from discovery and requirements gathering through to customer success. You’ll work closely with sales, product, and engineering teams, engaging directly with customers and partners in Spanish- or Portuguese-speaking environments.
Key responsibilities and tasks
  • Act as the technical lead during the pre-sales cycle, from initial customer contact through to final solution presentation and implementation handover.
  • Engage customers and partners in Portuguese and Spanish, demonstrating sensitivity to cultural and business context.
  • Promote and validate data security needs and articulate the business value of comforte’s product offerings.
  • Translate customer requirements into well-architected solutions including data flows, compliance considerations, and integration scenarios.
  • Present solutions confidently to stakeholders ranging from developers to C-level (CISO, CIO, CTO, etc.) in international and multilingual environments.
  • Manage and orchestrate Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs) at customer sites or remotely, showcasing feasibility and value.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, demos, and workshops—both live and virtual—in Spanish and Portuguese when needed.
  • Respond to RFPs/RFIs and support sales with technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and positioning materials.
  • Gather and relay feedback to product management on customer needs and regional market trends.
Professional skills and knowledge
  • Proven track record in pre-sales, solution consulting, or technical sales, especially in international markets.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, enterprise IT environments, and cloud-native applications.
  • Ability to assess data flows, identify security and compliance gaps, and propose effective solutions (e.g., for GDPR, PCI DSS, LGPD).
  • Proficiency in preparing customer-facing documentation, diagrams, and demos using modern collaboration and presentation tools.
  • Solid knowledge of encryption, tokenization, and API security in enterprise environments is a plus.

Additional understanding of the following areas are a plus but not required: 
  • Experience with HPE NonStop OS, Enscribe, SQL/MP, SQL/MX, and related database and system operations
  • Familiarity with Security technologies, especially encryption/tokenization technologies for data-at-rest and in transit protection 
  • Client-server architecture and management 
  • EFT/Payments, Banking, Fraud and Risk Management industries
  • Knowledge of EFT products and architecture

Qualification
  • Several years of experience in pre-sales, solution architecture, or consulting for complex IT solutions.
  • Academic background in computer science, information systems, or related field.
  • Comfortable working in a remote, multilingual, and multicultural environment.
