In your role as a Senior Software Engineer you will join a small globally-dispersed team in maintaining, developing and supporting a range of comforte products within the APIs and Integration team. These products are used both internally and by our customers in mission-critical environments.

• Analysis of new feature requests and implementation into products
• Analysis of software defects, design, implementation and testing of defect fixes
• Working closely with QA to ensure the quality of the product
• Working closely with the DevOps team for maintaining CI pipelines
• Providing product expertise to the rest of the company for products maintained by the team
• Providing 2nd and 3rd level support to customers for a variety of comforte products

Required Skills

• Programming: Java (C++, C# and other languages are a plus), OOP
• Operating Systems: Linux, Windows (other OS's are a plus)

Intermediate Skills

•  DevOps, CI/CD principles, Git

 Additional Skills

• Security concepts, especially in cloud environments
• Container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Cloud computing
• Agile principles

 Language

• English: required to be fluent both in oral and written communication
• other language skills helpful but not a requirement

• Willing to continuously learn and improve skills to keep up with technology changes
• Happy to take on a leadership role as and when circumstances require this
• Comfortable discussing technical topics directly with customers
• Open to dealing with new and old technologies

• 5+ years of experience in development roles on the Linux/Windows platform
• Degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or a pure science
